Against the Inhumane Demeanor of the Islamic Republic and the Organized Deportation of Afghans from Iran Under the Pretext of Security!
Afghans, the Scapegoat of the Humiliating Defeat of the Islamic Republic!

July 3, 2025

Over the past few months, conflict with Afghans and fostering organized discrimination against them has intensified again, and the Islamic Republic is still trying to link some of the country's problems to the presence of Afghan immigrants, proclaiming them to increase unemployment and recent spy against Iran. The current situation in the country is the result of forty-seven-year rule and devastating policies of this regime. These policies have created an unprecedented crisis in our country and fueled the widespread dissatisfaction of all segments of society, especially workers and wage earners. It is the tense and ideological foreign policy of the regime that has isolated Iran in the world and has virtually put it in danger of conflict and war. The authorized presence of Afghan refugees in Iran, under all sorts of official attacks and humiliation of the regime, has had no role in these crises. But the Islamic Republic has repeatedly tried to show them the cause of disruption by launching a fuss, and by setting up dust around these lies, hiding its direct responsibility for creating enormous economic and social problems in Iran. This time, after clashes with Israel and the United States, by storytelling on the discovery of drone-making workshops and Afghan workers' employment in such workshops that were allegedly owned by Iranians, claiming to be "espionage elements" and "spying networks", it has started mass deportation of Afghan immigrants

If the leaders of the Islamic Republic are looking for "elements" of espionage, they should look for them at the high level of the regime. The Afghans, who have taken refuge in Iran for decades of war and the Taliban's rule, have not been in a position to access the highest ranks of the Islamic Republic's military and political leadership, in order to provide Israel with their positions and addresses. The accusation of spying on the Afghan population, which is one of the most oppressed minorities living in Iran and has always been abused by the regime agencies and regime-incited individuals, is a false and inhumane claim, which has been the case for aggression against millions of Afghans residing and working hard in Iran. Although there may be criminals among Afghans, as it is among Iranian citizens, accusing millions of Afghans of criminality is unacceptable and contrary to all human standards.

The corrupt and criminal regime of the Islamic Republic has so far tried to justify discrimination against Afghans on charges of changing population composition or raising unemployment rates, etc., and has tried to motivate groups of people against them. Now, after a humiliation surprise by the Israeli-US invasion of Iran, it has added the accusation of espionage to the false "crimes" of the millions of Afghans in Iran. The repressive system has deported hundreds of thousands of Afghans from Iran over the past few weeks by ignoring their legal rights. The Afghan mass deportation, by ignoring their civil rights and the charges against them, without investigating these charges, in addition to violating their human rights, lacks legal image, and the perpetrators are entitled to arrest and trial in the courts.

The Left Party of Iran condemns the inhumane and discriminatory policies of the Islamic Republic against Afghans residing in Iran and declares its solidarity with all of them. We call on the international and the UN Refugee Commissioner and other international institutions in this field to defend the human rights of Afghan refugees against the Islamic Republic. We urge all humanitarian forces, freedom, and human rights defender to protest the shameful and inhumane behavior of the Islamic Republic and defend refugees’ rights against these oppressors and not allow the Islamic Republic to resort to charges such as espionage and so on, in any way they can. Many Afghans have been living in Iran for decades and have undeniable rights. Their human rights and citizenship must be recognized. We urge all compatriots to respond to the oppressive attack of the Islamic Republic against the Afghans. One should not be trapped by the Islamic Republic's propaganda for the culprit of immigrant Afghans to divert public opinion from the regime's incompetence and destructive policies. Let us not to allow the aggression against Afghans and other minorities living in Iran become normal. Let us defend the human rights of our neighbors and our compatriots, with every nationality and every belief. Let us look at the Afghans who consider Iran to be their second home, as our compatriot, and fight the discriminatory and inhumane policy of the Islamic Republic.
