Word of the Month: Condemn the American Israeli attack  on Iran

The U.S.-Israeli offensive against Iran has, for now, come to a halt. President Trump announced a ceasefire following 12 days of intense conflict. Despite significant vulnerabilities on both sides, each has proclaimed victory. From a military standpoint, there are no clear winners—only profound losses, particularly for the people of the Middle East, with Iranians bearing the brunt of the devastation.

However, this ceasefire does not signify a resolution of the underlying political tensions in the region. Until a comprehensive and mutually accepted settlement is achieved, the risk of renewed hostilities remains dangerously high.

There are also mid-term implications of this development.

The US needs to maintain its current military dominance in the area, which, in turn, means diverting American attention from the Far East. Russia and China have both condemned this attack on Iran, but no further action has been reported. It is reasonable to assume that both countries are benefiting from this American distraction.

 

Israel is expanding its genocidal atrocities in Gaza and the West Bank.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has been severely damaged. Inside Iran, its anti-American, anti-Israel rhetoric has come under heavy scrutiny. The Islamic regime has begun executing many opponents under the pretext of them being ‘enemy spies’. This is a sharp reminder of the
