The trickiest question for the US is how to achieve an outcome that moves beyond that of the JCPOA framework. An innovative solution such as involving partnership with an Arab country (e.g. Saudi Arabia or the UAE) in Iran’s nuclear programme may help resolve this intricate puzzle. 

The Left Party of Iran expresses its sympathy to the victims of the explosion in Bandar Abbas and offers condolences to the bereaved families and calls on all compatriots to participate in providing assistance to the victims of this disaster. This explosion has impacted not only the port, but also the entire region and its people.

"The Hamgami for a Secular Democratic Republic in Iran" (a coalition of five Iranian political parties and organizations), as part of the Iranian opposition promoting the transition from the authoritarian Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) to a republican system based on secular democratic principles, has consistently declared its strong opposition to any military actions against Iranian facilities and infrastructures.

In these dangerous times, a government that dodges responsibility by offering superficial criticism of state institutions and neglects to be accountable to the people becomes a source of danger itself. The government is obligated to pursue direct negotiations and to make them happen.

Resistance and struggle against the inhuman crimes of the occupying Israeli state and the world powers supporting it can prevent the continuation and expansion of their genocide and occupation.
