The Left Party of Iran expresses its condolences to the families of the victims, to the working class and to all those who are saddened by the loss of fifty-one workers in the coal mine and considers the Islamic Republic to be the main responsible for this tragedy.

Comrade Fahmi stressed that “Iraqi Communists, during these difficult moments, stand firmly and resolutely alongside the fraternal Lebanese people and their patriotic forces in confronting this brutal Zionist aggression”. He called on the Iraqi patriotic and democratic forces "to express effective solidarity with Lebanon and its people”.

Declaring its abhorrence with the terrorist and warmongering operations of the right-wing Israeli government, the Left Party of Iran believes that the crime of Hamas on October 7, does not justify the horrendous crime and genocide of Netanyahu and his right-wing partners in Gaza and the spread of war to any country in the region.

The Left Party of Iran considers the arrest of political and civil activists and the pressure on the plaintiff families to be a futile attempt to prolong the disgraceful life of the regime and calls for the intensification of the struggle for the release of the recently arrested and other political and civil prisoners, including Mother Mina.

Se trata sólo de un éxito en un proceso de largas y directas batallas contra diversas formas de obstáculos destinados a impedir que el éxito político del NFP se materialice en forma de gobierno. El nombramiento de un Primer Ministro procedente de la corriente más débil de la Asamblea Nacional francesa y prisionero de la extrema derecha francesa no puede impedir que el NFP y la izquierda francesa apliquen con éxito y decisión su programa.

This is just one success in a process of long and direct battles against various forms of obstacles aimed at preventing the political success of the NPF from materialising in the form of a government. The appointment of a Prime Minister from the weakest current in the French National Assembly and a prisoner of the French extreme right cannot prevent the NFP and the French left from successfully and decisively implementing their programme.

Ce n'est qu'un succès dans un processus de batailles longues et directes contre diverses formes d'obstacles visant à empêcher le succès politique du NFP de se matérialiser sous la forme d'un gouvernement. La nomination d'un Premier ministre issu du courant le plus faiblement représenté de l'Assemblée nationale française et prisonnier de l'extrême droite française ne peut empêcher le NFP et la gauche française de mettre en œuvre leur programme avec succès et détermination.

The intellectual support and backing of Iranian students in all protest actions against the Shah's regime in India by comrade Sitaram Yechury in the 70s, who at that time was in the leadership of the Students Federation of India (SFI), will never be forgotten and it will be permanent in the history of Iranian students' struggle in India.

On the second anniversary of the revolutionary movement "Women, Life, Freedom", the Left Party of Iran honors the memory of the victims of this movement and other victims of the struggle for freedom, democracy and social justice, and sends greetings to their families who have always been under pressure from the regime.

We should not expect much of the current ‘cease fire talks’. Even if somehow they “succeed’, the possibility of war flaring up soon again is very high. As long as Israel dreams of dominating the Middle East, we can expect disastrous wars in our neighbourhood.
