Dear Comrades,
With camaraderie greetings, we wish you every success in your party's general Congress, which will be held on June 24, 25 and 26.
The resounding victory of the left-wing bloc in the French parliamentary elections and the left-wing candidate in the Colombian presidential election is promising news for the beginning of your congress.
At the same time, your congress is being held at a time when the fires of war that have been raging since last February with Russia's invasion of Ukraine over "NATO's advance Eastward" are still raging. Reflecting on this event, examining its causes, and especially how it could end quickly and peacefully, is a great challenge for humanity and advocates of peace, freedom, and justice throughout the universe. Finding a way to answer this question has become a double challenge for the parties and forces of the left. And all this is in a situation where the transition to a new order in the world has become necessary and a reality. Your party, as a modern left party that sees its goal, democratic socialism, in the light of freedom, peace, the prominent role of women and youth, and the environment, seeks to find appropriate answers to the challenges ahead.
Today, more than ever, there is a need for a strong and organized left to play an effective role in the current developments in the world.
In our country, Iran, more than four decades of the rule of the Islamic Republic, and its incompetency in responding to the needs of the society, our country is isolated in the international arena and has faced economic, social and livelihood crises. More than ever, there is a need for a democratic alternative that can lead Iran in a path of sustainable justice-oriented development with national consensus. Republican forces and the left must be spearheading this movement.
The importance of your congressional decisions is not only to promote the worthy role of the Left Party in German politics. Your answers to the new world order, the position and meaning of the left in today's world and how to solve problems within the party, are of interest to all leftists and progressive forces in the world.
