Condemn the Blatant US - Zionist Aggression Against Iran and Express Solidarity with Its People

The Communist Parties in the Arab countries, which held an extraordinary meeting on 22 June 2025, strongly condemn the blatant aggression carried out by US forces against Iran’s nuclear facilities. This act is viewed as a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of an independent state, a grave breach of the United Nations Charter and all international conventions, and a direct threat to peace and security in the region and the world.
The participating parties have unanimously considered this aggression a dangerous and significant escalation—one that threatens not only Iran, but also opens the door to a new phase in the implementation of the so-called “New Middle East Project,” aimed at imposing US-Zionist hegemony over the region. This project seeks to dismantle states, undermine their independence and national sovereignty, and rob their peoples of the right to determine their own political, economic, and social paths.
The meeting expressed solidarity with Iran and its people in the face of this unjust aggression by the U.S.-Zionist war machine, and called for an immediate end to the attacks. It reaffirmed the right of all peoples to defend themselves, their national interests, and the sovereignty of their countries, as well as to develop scientific and technological capabilities—including nuclear energy—for peaceful purposes. The meeting condemned the policy of double standards and the oppressive, subjugating practices of imperialist powers led by the United States and its allies, along with the Israel, which continues to carry out genocide against the Palestinian people, pursues the liquidation of their just cause as a national liberation struggle, and escalates criminal assaults on the peoples of Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen.
The participants also discussed ways to enhance the role of the Arab Left Forum and coordinate the action of Left forces across Arab countries and other national liberation movements. Their aim is to mobilize political and social forces to confront the bullying and thuggery of US-Israeli policies, thwart attempts to violate national sovereignty, plunder resources, and impose foreign domination. The meeting emphasized the need to exert all possible pressure on Arab governments to take clear stands against this criminal military escalation, reject normalization agreements with Israel, and prevent Arab countries from being used as platforms or staging grounds for imperialist aggression.
The parties also expressed their solidarity with the Sudanese people and national forces in ending the catastrophic war and building a unified, independent, democratic civil state.
The meeting further called for strengthening international solidarity and reaching out to progressive, peace-loving forces around the world to expand the global front against war and imperialist domination. It urged the international community and the United Nations to fully assume their responsibilities, and called for intensifying solidarity with the Palestinian people against the ongoing Zionist genocide. The Parties demanded an immediate end to the aggression and fulfilment of the Palestinians’ legitimate rights, including the establishment of an independent, fully sovereign national state with Jerusalem as its capital and the right of return for refugees — essential conditions for achieving real security and stability in the region.
